Ich weiß nicht wie oft ich an diesem Motiv bereits vorbeigefahren bin - wahrscheinlich hundertemale. Eigentlich wollte ich es immer schon fotografieren, habe es aber nie so vorgefunden, dass es ein Panoramabild Wert gewesen wäre. Vor zwei Wochen musste ich die Reiseleitermappe der von mir geführten Nordnorwegen-Fotoreise zu Kneissl-Touristik-Zentrale in Lambach zurückbringen. Das Wetter war schön, also fuhr ich mit dem Motorrad. Im Topcase habe ich immer meinen Fotorucksack mit einem Carbon-Stativ verstaut - für den Fall aller Fotofälle. Zwangsläufig führt die Route über die Traunbrücke bei Lambach. Ich sah, worauf ich schon jahrelang gewartet hatte - die Wallfahrtskirche Stadl-Paura spiegelte sich im ruhigen Gewässer der Traun. Zumeist ist das Traunwasser durch den Wind aufgewühlt, aber diesmal passte alles. Das Licht war zwar nicht optimal, aber was soll´s, diese Gelegenheit kommt nie wieder. Ich parkte die Honda auf einem gleich hinter der Brücke gelegenen Parkplatz und eilte mit meinem Fotorucksack und dem Carbon-Stativ auf die Brücke. Der Gehweg und die Fahrbahn sind durch eine Metallkonstruktion getrennt, sodass ich fotografieren konnte ohne dem Autoverkehr sonderlich viel Achtung schenken zu müssen. Einen kleinen Hacken hatte mein Fotostandpunkt allerdings schon. Ein normaler PKW beeinflusste das Fotografieren überhaupt nicht, ein LKW allerdings versetzte die Brücke in Schwingungen - ich musste also aufpassen. Kurzerhand war die Sony-Kamera der 6000-Serie auf das Stativ im Hochformat unter Zuhilfenahme des Nodalpunktadapter montiert und ausgerichtet. Links geschaut, rechts geschaut, kein LKW zu sehen. Schnell waren die acht Hochformataufnahmen mit 30%iger Überlappung im Kasten. Zur Sicherheit noch eine Belichtungsreihe - das musste genügen. Bei der Rückfahrt war die Wasseroberfläche der gestauten Traun bereits wieder in Bewegung, die Spiegelung der Kirche hatte sich verloren. Was ich damit sagen will? Hätte ich an besagtem Tag die Kamera nicht mitgehabt, wäre das Panorama nicht machbar gewesen. Der Frust und der Ärger über die verpasste Gelegenheit wäre groß gewesen. Oft braucht es Jahre um ein Motiv so einzufangen wie man es sich vorgestellt hat. Darum darf man nie aufgeben! Dies gilt nicht nur für die Fotografie, sondern für das ganze Leben. Nie aufgeben, immer vorbereitet sein und man wird sein Ziel erreichen.

I don't know how many times I've driven past this motif - probably hundreds of times. Actually, I always wanted to photograph it, but never found it worth a panorama picture. Two weeks ago I had to bring back the tour guide folder for the Northern Norway photo trip I leded to Kneissl Touristik-Zentrale in Lambach. The weather was nice, so I rode the motorbike. I always stowed my photo backpack with a carbon tripod in the top case - just in case there were any photo cases. Inevitably, the route leads over the Traun Bridge near Lambach. I saw what I had been waiting for for years - the Stadl-Paura pilgrimage church was reflected in the calm waters of the Traun. Most of the time the Traunwater is churned up by the wind, but this time everything was fine. The light wasn't the best, but who cares, this opportunity will never come again. I parked the Honda in a parking lot just behind the bridge and rushed onto the bridge with my photo backpack and carbon tripod. The sidewalk and the road are separated by a metal construction, so I was able to take photos without having to pay much attention to the traffic. However, my photo position already had a small problem. A normal car didn't affect the photography at all, but a truck made the bridge vibrate - so I had to be careful. Without further ado, the Sony camera of the 6000 series was mounted and aligned on the tripod in portrait format with the help of the nodal point adapter. Looked left, looked right, no truck in sight. The eight portrait format shots with 30% overlaps were quickly in the can. To be on the safe side, an exposure series - that had to be enough. On the way back, the water surface of the dammed Traun was already moving again, the reflection of the church had disappeared. What I mean by that? If I hadn't had my camera with me on that day, the panorama wouldn't have been possible. The frustration and anger at the missed opportunity would have been great. It often takes years to capture a motif the way you imagined it. That's why you should never give up! This applies not only to photography, but to life as a whole. Never give up, always be prepared and you will reach your goal.
